Blackjack Games and Variations

There are many different blackjack games and variations on the game of blackjack. Most of these blackjack variations incorporate side bets, which add a little more excitement to the game.

Blackjack games and blackjack variations that incorporate side bets include the games of Over / Under 13, Red / Black and Royal Match. In Over / Under 13 players bet on whether or not their initial 2-card hand will total over or under 13. In Red / Black players bet on whether the dealer’s face up card will be red or black. In Royal Match players bet that their initial 2-card hand will consist of cards of a like suit.

Other variations of blackjack games change the rules entirely. In the blackjack game of Blackjack Switch, for instance, each player plays two separate hands with identical bets and they are allowed to switch the second cards around if it is advantageous. In the blackjack game of Double Exposure both of the dealer’s cards are placed on the table face up! This makes for very different strategy than blackjack games normally do.
