Free Online Blackjack Player Strategy

If you’re a free online Blackjack player looking to improve strategy, start by memorizing Blackjack basic strategy. Based on odds and probabilities, basic strategy lets you know which move to make depending on the cards you’re holding. It’s a calculated average that suggests a logical, mathematical choice when presented with different options. Both the dealer’s up card and the player’s two dealt cards are taken into consideration when determining basic strategy.

In free online Blackjack, players have four options after their first two cards are dealt. They can remain as they are (“stand”), take an additional card (“hit”), double the bet, take one hit and then stand (“double down”) or make a pair into two separate hands (“split).

If your hand value is between 17 or 21, you should stand. If the dealer’s up card is a 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6, you should also stand if you have card values of 16, 15, 13 or 14. If you have these card values and the dealer has any other up card (from 7 to A), you should take a hit.

If you have a hand value between 5 to 8, you should always hit. You should also hit if the dealer has an Ace up card and your card value is anything lower than 17.
