How to Play Blackjack Online

It is reasonably simple to learn how to play blackjack. Players need to understand the card values, the object of the game and the various choices available. Whether you play blackjack online or at a land casino, it is always played between yourself and the dealer. Before learning how to play blackjack, you need to remember the card values: Face cards are worth 10, all other cards are worth their own value, except an ace that is worth 1 or 11.

When learning how to play blackjack, players are taught that each side is dealt two cards. The object of the game is to see if you can get as near to the number 21 as possible without going bust; or to beat the dealer’s hand. Once the cards are dealt, the aim is to decide how to next proceed, with the two main choices being to stay with the cards in hand (to stand) or to request another card (to hit) to get closer to 21. When players learn blackjack rules, they understand that hitting comes with the risk of being dealt a card that will bring them over the total of 21.

Once players learn the basics of how to play blackjack, they will be able to extend their knowledge a little further with other choices open to them such as doubling or splitting their hands. They will also learn various strategies and improve their skills, especially if they play blackjack online and take advantage of free download programs.
