If you want to learn how to play blackjack the first thing you need to understand is the objective of the game. In the game of blackjack you play against the dealer and attempt to accumulate cards with points that add up to 21 or as close to 21 as possible without going over. Numbered cards are worth their numbered value, face cards are worth 10 points and aces are worth either 1 or 11 points—whichever is more worthwhile in your game.

Once you understand this objective you can learn how to play blackjack easily. To begin the game each player receives two face-up cards.
