Learn How to Play Blackjack

Blackjack is one of the most popular card games in the world. Today it’s played in casinos from Las Vegas to Macau, and the availability of internet Blackjack has only increased the Blackjack fan base. Though it’s a popular game, learning how to play Blackjack isn’t easy, and players must study a variety of tricky bets and situations to be well-studied and successful players.

The first thing to know when learning how to play Blackjack is the basic objective of the game. Blackjack is often called 21 Blackjack because the best a player can score in the game is 21. Players are dealt two cards at the beginning of the game and must try to make the total of the values of these cards as close to 21 as possible. To do this, players can receive additional cards by taking a “hit.”

If a player goes over 21 they lose the game by “busting.” If a player has a lower score than the dealer, the player also loses. When learning how to play Blackjack, it’s important to know that the dealer must always score at least 17, so, to win, you must score between 17 and 21 without “busting.”
