Learning To Play Blackjack

Learning to play blackjack can be a fun and worthwhile experience. After all, blackjack is one of the most enjoyable card games around. If you want to start playing blackjack but have no idea about the rules don’t worry, it’s really easy to learn how to play blackjack.

The game of blackjack is played with multiple decks of blackjack cards, which are the same as regular cards. The cards are shuffled and then dealt out, two to each player. When you play blackjack you are playing against the dealer. The two cards that you are dealt will be face up and the dealer will have one card face up and one face down. The object of the game of blackjack is to have a hand worth 21 points, or to get as close as possible to 21 without going over. Your hand must also be worth more points than the dealer.

Once you see your initial 2-card hand you have the opportunity to ask the dealer to hit you with more cards or you can stay. When you play blackjack you should base your decision to hit or stay on how close you are to a total of 21 as well as on the visible card of the dealer. At the end of the round the dealer will flip over his face down card to expose how many points he has. If the dealer’s cards are worth less than 17 then he must hit. If your hand beats the dealers you are the winner.
