Suddenly poker tournaments became all the rage and millions of players were flocking to events such as the annual World Series of Poker tournament. However, blackjack tournaments have also become all the rage, with the Ultimate Blackjack Tour being just one example of dozens of blackjack tournaments that draw the crowds. Many of these tournaments are fed from satellite tournaments held at online casinos in the months preceding the main event.

In the online blackjack vs online poker debate, poker is sometimes considered to be a game of skill, while blackjack more a game of chance.
