The Rules of Internet Blackjack

Internet blackjack is taking the world by storm. What was once a game primarily played in casinos, blackjack is now being played all over the world through the convenience of the Internet!

When you play Internet blackjack all of the rules are exactly the same as playing the blackjack game offline. The objective is the same—in order to win your hand must be higher than the dealer’s hand while being as close to 21 as possible without going over. In order to achieve this objective you may ask the dealer to give you additional cards to increase the value of your hand. This is known as “hitting”. In Internet blackjack you may also choose to “stay” which means that you are satisfied with your hand and will not accept more cards.

Online blackjack can be played for fun as well as for money. If you decide to play online blackjack for money you may choose to bet as little or as much as you’d like. There are different online blackjack rooms that you may choose from with different betting limits, just as there are different tables with limits in casinos.

Typical blackjack rules apply to Internet blackjack as well such as the rule of splitting whereby if your original 2-card hand is made up of two like cards, such as two eights, then you may split the cards and play two games at once.

Now that you understand these basic blackjack rules give online blackjack a try.
