Winning Online Blackjack Terminology

Players that are serious about winning online blackjack need to start out with blackjack terms in mind. It is necessary to understand what these terms are in order to become successful playing online blackjack games.

The first term you need to know is blackjack hand. A player can have more than one blackjack hand where a separate group of cards is played with the objective of making a total close to 21. If a player makes 21 from his first two cards, this is known as a blackjack or a natural. Providing the dealer does not produce a natural, the player is assured of winning online blackjack.

However, if the player's hand or the dealer's hand goes over 21, it is said to be bust. This term is used to portray a loss in internet blackjack and a player will forfeit his wager if he has a bust hand. A push is another term given to a tie, which occurs when both the player and the dealer produce a hand with the same score or both go bust. A player's bet is returned to him when a push occurs. The term hit is used when a player requests another card from the dealer. This is done when a player needs to bring his total closer to 21 for winning online blackjack. PARAGRAPH=3> When he refuses another card and retains those that he already has in the hope that they will be enough for winning online blackjack, this is known as a stand. Doubling is when a player doubles his original wager and draws another card, while splitting is the term given to separating a pair of cards and playing them as separate internet blackjack hands.
