Consulting in multiple stakes Chouette

Multiple stakes Chouette is the same as any other Chouette game; it requires a box, a captain and a team. It is played on a backgammon board with checkers, dice and a doubling cube. It allows play for multiple players. However, it differs in that multiple stakes Chouette allows each member to play the agreed stake, for a set number of times. This is so that everyone can enjoy the Chouette game, regardless of their bankroll.

Multiple stakes Chouette works as follows; each person has a designated number of stakes. Player A plays x, Player B plays 2x and player C plays 3x. These levels are retained throughout the Chouette game. The box always plays to the minimum of their designated stake; so if playing Player A, the stake would be x whereas if the box is playing player C the stake would be 3x the amount. If more than one player is played at a time in the Chouette game, then the box still sets his stake in the same way.

Consulting Chouette is often thought as complicated in this scenario. However, the game is still played in the same way; only the amount at stake differs and the amount affects that person’s own bankroll. If playing consulting Chouette where only players who have turned their cube can consult, the advice given would not differ than that given in any other Chouette game.

Multiple stakes Chouette combined with the consulting Chouette rule merely brings a faster paced and supportive dimension to the game, and can be particularly beneficial if the captain is a weak player. The other rules and dynamics remain the same.
