An Overview of Liar’s Dice

Liar’s Dice is the English name given to the popular South American dice game, Perudo. Perudo can trace its origins back as far as the ancient Incan culture and has always been a favorite pastime across the world. Liar’s Dice is usually played between two and five players, each of which begins the game with five dice and a dice cup.

When playing Liar’s Dice, the dice are rolled in the cup and turned over so that players can only see their own dice. During the game process, players take turns in making Perudo bids regarding the results of all the dice remaining in the game. A typical Perudo bid may be, “seven sixes”. Players make progressively higher bids, either by bluffing or telling the truth, until someone contests a bid by calling it out.

Once someone contests a bid in Liar’s Dice, all the dice are revealed and, depending on who was correct, either the caller or the bidder, loses a die. The object of Perudo is to be the last player left in the game with at least one remaining die. This exciting game can be played at online gambling sites where players can meet others from all over the world and enjoy the convenience of internet gaming.
