How to Play Perudo 101

All players need to do to when learning how to play Perudo is to familiarize themselves with the rules. Unfortunately, this is not always possible when watching a Perudo game because seasoned players use a strategy known as Perudo bluffing. We explain how to play Perudo from the very basics.

When learning how to play Perudo, players learn that the game is traditionally played out between two and six people. Each player has a throwing cup and five dice and the object of the Perudo game is to bluff the opponents into thinking that you have certain dice when you really don’t. This is a skill that you eventually pick up when you learn how to play Perudo. An opening bet is made with the first person who claims, for example, that there are 4 twos out of all the players’ dice.

The next player either calls by challenging this claim or makes a higher bid. If a claim is called, all players reveal their dice. The player who called loses the bid and needs to forfeit a die if the dice total is equal to or higher than the bid. The bidder, however, loses a die if the caller was correct. Whichever player manages to stay in the game with the last die intact is the winner. As can be seen, learning how to play Perudo need not be a complicated process.
