In the first round of Texas Hold’em each player receives two private cards that the other players may not see. In the second round, known as the Flop, three community cards are placed face up on the table. All of the players share these community cards. In the third round, known as the Turn, an additional community card is placed on the table. In the fourth and final round, the River round, a final community card is placed on the table. At the end of the game is the showdown—the player remaining with the highest valued card wins and takes the prize money.
