How to Play Texas Hold'em Poker with Blinds

Texas Hold'em poker has remained the top poker game online for some years now. While other poker variations have remained consistently successful at online poker rooms, Texas Hold'em has been difficult to beat. This is why many people who are new to the game learn how to play Texas Hold'em first.

Another reason is that it is a relatively easy game to learn. The more difficult aspect of the game is introducing poker strategies into the game to help win the pot. Starting a game is very simple though once you learn a few poker rules. The first thing you need to do when you're learning how to play Texas Hold'em is know how to post the poker blinds.

Learning about the blinds is important if you want to succeed at knowing how to play Texas Hold'em poker. There are two blind bets that are used to start a game of Texas Hold'em. One is called the big blind and the other the small blind. The small blind is usually half the amount of the big blind. The player who is positioned directly to the left of the dealer is tasked with posting the large blind and the player left of him pays the small blind.

The poker blinds are now the property of the pot. When you're learning how to play Texas Hold'em it is worthwhile bearing in mind that you will often be called upon to provide a blind bet, so you must have the cash to do so. Once the blinds are posted, each player receives his two hole cards from the dealer and the betting rounds in a game of Texas Hold'em begin.
