All the betting limits are established before the game. As a rule the highest bet is twice the size of the minimum bet. The player that is sitting directly left of the dealer posts the small blind bet which is about half the minimum bet. Then the player to his left posts the big blind which is equal in value to the minimum bet. Each player receives two cards faced down and the poker betting round begins. This round starts with the player sitting on the left of the big blind. Every player may call, raise or fold and all bets must be the poker game minimum. Three cards are flopped/dealt faced up in the middle of the table and these are called community cards which all the players can use. The second betting round then takes place starting with the first active play to the left of the dealer. There are four betting rounds to a game of poker. At the end of the final round the players who are still left in the game compare their hands and determine the winner who takes the cash.
