Omaha hi-lo poker instructions made simple

Currently, Omaha Hi/Lo is the most popular split-pot poker game you can find. Omaha hi-lo poker instructions are not difficult to understand and are important to know before playing. Essentially there is no big difference between Texas Hold'em and Omaha except that Omaha hi-lo poker instructions state that you have to use 2 hole cards only, no more and no less.

Omaha hi-lo poker instructions are very similar to Omaha Hi except that the pot splits between the high and the low hand. The low hand may not have a card higher than 8, therefore if there is no legal low hand, the whole pot is won by the highest hand. The most confusing part is how to determine the nut-low. Unlike other poker games, in this game straights and flushes do not affect the low. Your best possible low hand would look like this – 5432A. Remember that the low hands are counted from the top down! If you have a hand of 8432A (an 8 low) and your fellow player has 76543 (a 7 low) you will not win that hand. Many people who have not read and understood Omaha hi-lo poker instructions often get surprised thinking that 8432A wins because the ace is the lowest card.
