Rules of Poker

Even a game as robust and exciting as poker requires etiquette rules. Because this is such a social game, there have to be clear etiquette rules of poker so that players can interact within clear boundaries. One of the most basic poker tips is to ensure that you are courteous and polite to everyone at the table. All other etiquette rules of poker are based on this tip.

Do speak the language of the site. Etiquette rules of poker require that players refrain from chatting in a language that is not common among other players. Besides being rude, this will also likely attract the (negative) attention of the site manager. Don’t use abusive language. Even if you’re on a bad streak or highly frustrated, don’t take it out on fellow players and certainly not by using foul words. You may find yourself kicked off the site for noא obeying these poker rules.

Do avoid cheating at all costs. Etiquette rules of poker call for players to refrain from opening more than one account at the site, and to avoid collusion and fraud. These go beyond basic etiquette rules – this type of behavior is illegal and may land you being prosecuted. Finally, don’t abuse the chat features on the site. Keep chatting to a minimum, especially while a player is deliberating his or her next move. By respecting these poker rules, your gaming session will be a lot more rewarding all around.
