According to standard Texas Holdem Poker rules, this objective of the game of Texas Holdem is to achieve the strongest 5-card poker hand. The game takes place over four betting rounds in which players strive to achieve this objective.

After an initial ante is placed by all of the players placing blind bets the game begins. Each player is dealt 2 private cards that the other players cannot see. Based on the strength of these cards players choose to fold, bet or raise and the game continues. In the next round two community cards are placed face up on the table to be shared by all players. Players bet again based on the combination of their private cards and the community cards. One community card each is placed face up on the table in the next two rounds and players bet again. Texas Holdem poker rules state that at the end of the game the showdown takes place. Players that remained in the game and didn’t fold show their private cards and the player with the strongest 5-card poker hand between community and private cards wins.
