When to Fold in Free Online Poker?

One of the favorite tactics of professional casino poker players is the fold. It seems simple, but if you’re a frequent free online poker player you know that folding is harder than it sounds. Folding a hand can be a hard pill to swallow when you just want to throw down some chips. Remember, though, that poker is a game of survival, and to make it to the end it’s necessary to fold some hands.

It’s common in Free online poker games for one or more players to start with an “all or nothing” strategy. These players often call “all-in” before the Flop is even out. If you’re seated with these players in online poker games, fold the first few hands until they are eliminated.

Folding is a skill that requires a lot of patience and restraint. If you ever watch a professional poker tournament, you probably notice that many players fold even if they have decent pocket cards. Bet on OK pocket cards in free online poker games only when the bets are low; otherwise, fold.

If you’ve invested heavily in a free online poker game, don’t be afraid to fold. The money you’ve already bet belongs to the pot now, and if your cards are weak, bow out.
