BackgammonMasters congratulates Bolt on setting two new word records for the men’s 100 meter and 200 meter races at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympic Games.

Bolt, nicknamed “Lightning Bolt” for his quick speed, is the first person ever to break two world records during the same Olympic event. He won the men’s 100 meter in 9.69 seconds and the 200 meter in 19.30 seconds earning him two wins and two new world records. He’s also the first man to win the 100 and 200 meter events during the Olympics since Carl Lewis did the same back in 1984.
